Excellent idea to get them up here. Are you going to make notes on these when you have them?

I sure wish I had my camera for the first ones, several were so beautiful! I may take notes and see if I can scrounge photos. Or take photos in lieu of? Or take photos of other people’s cocktails? “‘Scuse me mister, can you hold off sippin’ that for one second? Thanks!”

#98 – the White Lady has an eggwhite in it. I just saw Rachel Maddow make it on Jimmy Fallon…

The original (1930s Savoy Recipe) for the White Lady has no egg white but in 1949 Crosby Gaige added eggwhite… both are delicious.

I lucky to live in Houston and have been to Anvil. The drinks are so pretty!

There is some debate over whether or not the White Lady should contain egg white. At Anvil, we choose not to add it, and follow the recipe set forth by Harry Craddock in his Savoy Cocktail Book. While it is accepted that many of the recipes in the Savoy are severely lacking, this omission of egg white seems somehow more deliberate, and I tend to agree with him. If you would, however, like to try the drink with the egg white, we’ll be happy to oblige.
Happy drinking,
Justin
